New to the forums. 64 days sober.
Hi I'm Katie! I'm an alcoholic and I'm 64 days sober. I just wanted to say hi, introduce myself. I'm in A.A. I have a sponsor and I'm working the steps - I'm about to work steps 3 then the dreaded 4! 
(j/k) I'm a mother of 2 young children and I'm married, to an active alcoholic. It hasnt been easy -but I'm doing okay. living my life the best way I can, with guidance from God(as i see him/her) and help from my A.A friends. and now all of you!!

Katie welcome - congrats on the 64 days.
I am an alcoholic in AA and just finished step #3 and now on the "dreaded" #4 and 5. I am working the two together and the inventory issue is not as bad as many think. I am quite enjoying it and keeping a journal is cathartic. I like htis forum, as I travel a fair amount so I feel between my sponsor, his sponsor, a few other people and SR I have a good safety net.

Katie! Congratulations on making one of the best decisions of your life and 64 days!I am currently in the throes of step 4. There are forums here that are dedicated to those of us doing 12 step programs. Lots of great information too on non 12 step programs. You can never have enough support when it comes to sobriety and you'll find a wealth of it here.
This place has been monumental in helping to keep me sober.
Read, read, read, and post, post, post! This is a great place to hang out with others who can identify with what you're going through.

welcome katie, I'm so glad you found us. I'm a mum of 3 young children too so we already have 2 things in common . there are lots of wonderful people here and their intelligence and compassion never ceases to amaze me. I think you and i will get along really well and I am so happy for you to have found sobriety. I'm still up and down but every time I try, I get better at it. I'm hoping this will be the last time I have to be on day 1 again. Haven't had a drop today and it's nearly bed time. I will sleep well tonight. welcome again.
