Good morning day 3

Trouble sleeping last night. Fortunatley, theres always a channel with a Law & Order episode. Woke up with a hangover, cigarrets, not my buddies Jose & Jack. Since I retired, I especially miss my morning buzz. Been drinking heavy for forty years. Being in construction all my life, drinking just seemed part of the job.
Yesterday was a good day. I kept busy with productive tasks. Then I treated myself to a long ride on my bike. Chicagoland weather has been beautiful this week. Going to do same stuff today & I'm looking forward to tommorow.
Wishing a good day to all!

keep it up domelou. i am pulling for you. Seems like you have been here before, perhaps finally, and your doing all the right things- seemingly. I was bed ridden for few days for withdrawal or at least in my mind- but nonetheless hurt. Insomnia is a problem for me too although I pale in comparison to your tenure. Keeping busy and occupied I find a great remedy! Keep us posted and stay with us. We need you for us newbies on how to get thru the door.

Congratulations on day three! And, being productive. Drinking was a part of my job, too. I caught the moring buzz also. This led to terrible things.
Don't pick up that frist drink and you'll be fine and dandy in no time!

Great job domedou. I drank for 30 yrs. so I can relate. You're giving yourself a wonderful gift. There is life after alcohol - it feels odd at first, but you'll grow to love the sober life. Proud of you!

I'm still a little jittery, I'm on day 6. I realize that if I keep myself busy I don't want to drink, exercise is a big part of that for me, good luck and keep moving forward
