at the end of this week i am going on holiday for 2 weeks
i have not had a sober holiday for 22 years and i am 52
i am not really sure how this happened
i suppose that given i am usually ********* from five o clock it should not be a surprise
but i have had enough
i am a lush
i do not want to be soaked the rest of my life
i want a clean and sober holiday and a new start
so i have made this step and had a sober weekend before the event
shock and horror
how did i manage that
next step let me get through this week please
and then the holiday itself

Welcome Kathy! Use this holiday as a mini mental/physical health retreat. Get some good books to read. Drinking a love story is great! Have a wonderful healthy vacation, that you will remember

Congrats on taking some time off for yourself.

Maybe make a list of all the things you want to do on holiday so you can always remain busy.

Also, if you're traveling, call ahead to the hotel and ask them to remove any alcohol from your room. Don't let the minibar bite you in the ass
