My XAH is currently in a residential treatment facility. He contacted me this weeekend. He stated that his therapiat wanted permission to call and discuss the possibility of me attending a therapy session with my ex. I only agreed at this point to having the therapist call. Has anyone participated in a treatment setting as a former spouse or former S.O. ?

Yes. One of my ex boyfriends wanted a session so that he could work "step 9" the amends step. It was the only reason I allowed contact.

You are completely free to do ONLY what YOU want, and what serves your needs. Your ex can work on his problems without you.

If you want to go, then do. If it will stir up bad feelings, or potentially put you back in the firing range of your ex, then don't go.
