Thinking I should start posting again
Hey SR! I haven't logged in for a while. I'll have 6 months next week. This place was so invaluable to me during that first month after I got out of rehab back in May and before I integrated myself into AA. So thanks to everyone who helped me through that trying time period. Coming out of rehab for the first time was a scary thing and you guys were so supportive.
So anyway, I have a home group, a sponsor, I go to meetings almost everyday, I do step work (doing my 5th tomorrow!), and I have awesome sober friends in AA who have my back. My obsession to drink has been lifted and I am happy. I honestly can't remember the last time I was actually happy. I don't know if I ever was. But I definitely like the way I feel now.
My sponsor is pushing me to do more service. As I am getting tired of making coffee, I figured it would be good idea to help out the newcomers here, and hopefully learn some stuff for myself too.

Great News on six SOBER months digdug!
With the help of my Higher Power, my six months is TODAY.
Strange thought, but when I saw the sun coming up today I was thinking the last time I was drunk I was on the other side of the sun.
Got to be way over a million miles. That is how far we have travelled being sober.
And it is only the beginning.

Congrats' Michael!
Heh. My 6th month anniversary will be a bit bittersweet because day one for me was in a coma in a ventilator. But I'm so grateful that I woke up and that I am alive and healthy today.
