22 Days Sober Today.. Feeling Fantastic.
Hi,
I have been drinking minimum of four beers every night from the past 10 years and twice a week a bottle of whiskey a night on regular basis. Have always felt tired, stomach issues, feeling high/low energy levels. Missing work, making excuses, Always was a with a sharp brain but was not able to use it to its potential due to my Alcohol and Smoking addiction. I smoked 10 Cigarettes a day too. On the 31st Aug after heavy drinking from the previous day (11 beers or more), a voice came in my mind..."What am I doing with my life?". I gave up Alcohol and Smoking from that point and since then I have only felt better and better. The food tastes as it tasted when I was in my teens, a new found love for music and lyrics. Spending more time with my friends talking about productive things. Getting more work done in my employment. All my stomach issues have gone..which was the most bothering to be. No aches or pains, have started jogging from yesterday for the first time in many many years. Even the winter feels great, the smell of the cool breeze, the touch is more felt. I don't have many words how I feel nowadays... It's just Fantastic !!!

It only keeps getting better the longer you continue your recovery. I just passed the year mark, which still blows my mind, and I feel better than ever. Keep up the good work and don't hesitate to come back for advice and encouragement. This place rocks!

I'm so glad you're feeling fantastic! Cherish this feeling because it exactly whst it's all about. You can not drink and stay the same, but when you add looking and interacting with the world differently you've got recovery!!!!
