Well you have made a first step in posting here KayeT! Are you still drinking? Can you put it down and sober up a bit?

There's a lot of help and advice available here if you want help in stopping doing what you are doing!

Hey Kay, you sound scared and we all understand that emotion. If by " fit" you mean withdrawal PLEASE get medical assistance with quitting. What part of the world are you in?
Be safe (hug)

Have you stopped drinking KayeT? . I would speak to a doctor if you can. Detoxing on your own can be very dangerous. Wishing you well.

AA didn't tell you this stuff, that came from one person's opinion.

It's ALWAYS safer to seek medical attention for proper detoxing.

You can do this sober thing!!!!

Ok. I would speak to a doctor when you can if you are concerned about withdrawals KayeT. A doctor will be able to give you advice and support with regards to quitting drinking safely. Glad you are here and glad you want to make changes.

They aren't scare tactics. Withdrawal can sometimes cause seizures, strokes, and death , as well as intolerable symptoms that simply make you need to drink again. A visit to a doctor can get you some help for your withdrawal symptoms.
