Post Acceptance (and sometimes a lack thereof)

I'm sitting here tonight smiling for a change. Here's why...

Last night my Dad called about 9pm. I was in my PJ's and ready for bed. He wants to know if it is raining here or not (i live 28 miles away). I say no..why is it supposed to? He says he doesn't know but he just got home from town and it is so very dark outside. Just doesn't understand why. I say, "Dad, it is bedtime! that's why it's dark." He just laughs and says "well I didn't know". Isn't that rich?

For about an hour this really bothered me. My husband is gone on business and so I had no one to share my feelings with. Came to the forum and read some of the latest postings only to realize that if it walks and quacks it usually is a DUCK! I'm just learning to quack. Had to laugh at it all and say "oh well".

Feeling so very much better today. Perspective is alive and well. I am so very grateful to have a circle of friends to come to. God bless each and every one of you.

LOLLY
p.s. this is truly what my "friends" call me. So please feel free.

Lolly, lolly, lolly .... get your adverbs here! Do you hate hearing that?

That's a poignantly humorous story. I'm glad the ducks helped you get past the poignance and on to the humor.

Hugs,
Smoke

No Smoke,
I don't tire of hearing that! My husband is so very sweet that he sing it to me. He loves that nickname. I was named after an old radio show celebrity that my Dad loved.

I am so very glad to hear that Dino is cancer free. Such a rotten disease it is. I know how very relieved you must be.

Your husband sounds like a champ!

Dino is close to being a 5 year survivor. In honor of this happy news, I think I'm going to order him the "**** Creek Canoe Club- Survivor" t-shirt from the soberrecovey store. Have you seen it? "Up and Back- No Paddle". Hysterical.

Hugs,
Smoke

Take care.

Smoke,
I think I am going to get my Dad one of those shirts. I'm just not sure he would understand the implication! lol

Morning Glory,
You have contributed to the Duck tales so you deserve some credit too. And yes, Smoke should write a book. She is marvelous!

BarbieDeb,
Thanks for the note and the smile. Here's a hug for you! ****************{Deb}}}}}}}}}}}
