Hi to you, Sometimes addiction type clinics are so overwhelmed with the number of clients they are trying to help, you may have to wait a bit longer for that call. Keep busy, try to stay healthy, eat something. Your world is about to get a shock in the sober direction! Call the clinic, be persistent. The ball is rolling...TF
Also AW, just a head up that sometime this is a little game those people will play to weed out those who are not willing to go to any length from those who are serious (especially if they do not have that many beds open).
Get on the phone and keep calling then once they give you a time, show up right on time. Those people are used to dealing with addicts who change their minds and have heard all the excuses under the sun. (and let's face it when it comes to excuses and bs stories us addicts and alcoholics are real good at it.) The counselors are therefore bound to be blase and will NOT go out of their ways to get you.
Call them and show them you are serious, they might not be calling you back on purpose.
Also have your suitcase ready and make sure your friend has a key to cat sit. Sometimes there will be an immediate opening and those people do not deal well with the "Yeah buts..."
If they say come in right now, then be ready to come in right now.

Absolutely.
