In the grand scheme of things, I know 7 days is just a blip. However, it has been many years since I've had 7 clear days of zero alcohol. In recent times, I could stop but never stay stopped for more than a few days. I have had tons of 1 day, lots of 2-4 days, a few 4 days and the occasional 5 day stint. So, this is a mental hurdle I wanted to overcome. It is such a relief. Now I have overcome that hurdle, I feel like I can move on and really progress. Each day is now a record for me ! I still remember its one day at time and pray that each day I get stronger.

Congratulations on your 7th sober day. Was good for me to read as that is my goal right now too. I am on day 3 today and also seem to have so many 1, 2, or 3 day stints and the old familiar voice tells me I can drink just one bottle of wine ( imagine that) and off to races again. Haven't been ale to stop at one bottle in months. So anyways thanks for the inspiration. I want to make it to day 7 this week too.
