New to the forum, but 100 days into sobriety!
Quit drinking for good on June 1st 2013. I knew I had to do it in order to move forward in life, or perhaps HAVE a life!
My first step in wanting to become sober was when I quit smoking cigarettes (pack a day, and then some) back on January 14, 2013. I knew my body and brain were not addicted to nicotine, so it was easy to quit. I had trouble with alcohol, but I made it!
I no longer have any cravings or desires to drink or smoke! It's amazing. I've turned my life around 180 degrees, have gone super healthy direction! Gym, healthy diet, steam room and sauna every night, drink gallon of clean water a day, watch inspirational and motivational movies and youtube videos. Life is just so much better than it has ever been.
Recently, I've been having anxiety, insomnia, worries...etc I think are related to my new way of life. Even 100 days into sobriety from several years of heavy alcoholism. So I signed up here to learn about addiction, how to cope with it, how to heal from it and also I would like to share what I know about recovery and sobriety to those who are reaching out for help.
Hopefully this can become a great community for me to know.

I found that watching the Rocky movies helped me a lot. There are a lot of great quotes in those movies for helping you to achieve anything. Also, read lots of books! Keep up the good work!
