I feel 100% better today !

What a difference a day makes. I've been craving, struggling the last two days because of work triggering me on Friday. I knew that if I could just make it through the cravings it will pass and IT DID! I woke up feeling great today because I didn't give in and I don't have the guilt/hangover that comes with it.... This site might be new addiction and therapy so inspiring and helpful.

Day 35, longest I've been sober in 10+ years. If I could give anyone advice who might be struggling in the first few weeks. Just try and make it through the moment (not even the day but just the moment) realizing it will soon pass. It does get better and the cravings become easier to fight through.

I will say that 2 bowls of ice cream yesterday did help lol

One day at a time. When you wake up, say "I can do this for the whole day!"

I just started a week ago. For the most part it has not been difficult. However, there were a couple of times that I absolutely CRAVED a drink. On Day two I was closing up the pool for the winter. Putting the cover on it. It's always such a pain in the ass and I was frustrated and extremely angry. I wanted a drink so bad right then. Good thing there was nothing in the house I could drink without getting caught. I realize that if I was able to have one or two to address that situation, it would have turned into 10.
I find I'm snacking a lot at night, but I'll let myself do that for a little longer. Then I have to stop that too.
