MY Sobriety...

Went out with friends to watch college football today. I had coke my husband had water even though I told him he could drink beer and I wouldn't mind. For some reason I kept telling him it was ok if he drank. He finally told me to shut up he was doing what he wanted to do. LOL. it really helped that he didn't. I don't know if I wanted to prove to myself I could do it or what. I just had this feeling that i WANTED him to drink.
It was weird and I can't explain it. Kind of like "this is my sobriety thing and not yours"..whhaat??! That is crazy thinking. I feel like a bad person. He has been a drinker for 45 years..but he seems to be able to stop when I can't. He does go overboard sometimes so my sobriety is helping him too. I don't think though that he thinks I will NEVER have another drink. That is what I HAVE to think. That is what I KNOW. Anyway he is a huge football fan and this is when he really wants his beer. I don't think he will get tired of me NOT drinking but this is totally new territory for us. I did it again and I'm so glad. I'm shocked at my own self!! Thanks SR and all you good folks.

No one said that but you. Maybe you are having some emotions come up. That happens you know. It can be tough. Hang in there.

My husband has had to endure some whacked out emotional outbursts, trust me

I have to say that sometimes it can get worse before getting better. So just keep in mind that it won't always be this nuts.

Great job staying sober!
