I wish there were more huge gatherings involving sobriety in the world like gay pride has. Or perhaps there is and I'm not aware ? I think that it'd be great to meet with many of the sober people in the world all in one place and have a fun day together !

It is national recovery month this month. Might even be international? Check the SAMHSA website for local gatherings in your state

I plan to run a 5K on Saturday for it.

In the UK we have 'recovery walks' sometimes. Sometimes run by organisations that work with addicts but I am sure I heard of SMART doing one over the forth road bridge... maybe check their US website and see if they have anything planned x

if you can make it out to ocean city, md on short notice this weekend, it is overrun with sober alcoholics through sunday!!
