All that you got done this morning is just the tip of the iceberg imagine what you can get done with another 8 sober hours. I'm in the north east and its ones of those amazing days where you can feel early fall blowing through the crisp warm air, not a cloud in the sky. Get outside feel the sun write paint walk sing do something to truly enjoy this gorgeous day

Well done! I'm finding AV likes to pop it's ugly head when I'm feeling good about something. I've been feeling good about a lot more things since I stopped drinking, and I tell myself that whenever the temptation comes on.

Yea it's tough when I get things done, cause usually I am so drained after working all night; I get nothing done. So when I finally do I want to celebrate w\ a beer or 2 :p

It's crazy isn't it, how we always want to celebrate with booze. I think society conditions that in us. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming society on my problem with alcohol, but it's in your face 24/7 with TV adverts, pubs on every corner, etc.

One way I feel rewarded is getting up early on a Saturday or Sunday morning after not boozing the night before. I wake up early (without an alarm) and fire up a pot of coffee, catch up on what's going on in the world with my iPad and feel really good inside that I didn't drink and don't have to worry about what I did the night before.

Funny how that old AV works.

Accomplish something good. Time for a drink.

Do something wrong (at home, work etc). Time for a drink.

Sad. Drink.

Mad. Drink.

Stressed out. Drink.

It's enough to drive you bonkers.

Good on you seeing it for what it is!

Every morning I wake up sober I feel better about myself. This has not wavered.

Glad that you came here AW! That's exactly what you need to do. Now, play out that tape of what happens if you do drink. Do you really want to go there?

You've accomplished a lot, keep it going You can get through this!

Thanx all; skipped my shower earlier since I knew I would get all "dirty" cleaning this dust bucket of a PC room .. lol Yea I know lorelei; I HAVE to do it .. 1st I need to do it for me; but 2nd I need to do it so My Ex. don't find them and think I relapsed :p Cause all the good I have done so far; would not erase the past times I "sneaked" some beers .. So she would not believe me that they were from Weeks ago *sigh* My Own doing I know ... Just blows ..

The only thing that is making this really hard; is if I find some, I have no choice BUT to walk them down to the packie to get rid of them Well not the Packie as much as the stores down there to dump them off :p

BUT I already have the plan in place; instead of walking the mile to the Packie\recycling I will walk the extra 2 tenths of a mile & drop them in the 7-11 Trash Can and Stop by the Cup Cake shop (damn good ones too strange flavors) & get my "reward" Just gathering strength now lol

Been sitting out front smoking & dreading this
