Danger Hour Food

So this point of the evening is where I usually crack if I haven't already. In fact there's usually wine in the house but tonight there's not. I could go and buy a bottle as the children are with their dad for the night but I won't. And to ride the wave I'm going to sit here and read for a bit, chip in where I can and plan my evening meal.

It'll have salad leaves, cucumber, shredded fennel, some torn mozzarella, maybe a few pieces of torn Jambon, some nectarine or plum (I love fruit with meat and cheese), avocado, lemon juice and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Cos I'm a canny shopper this will all cost much less than £2 for the whole meal so I can feel satisfied, will have eaten a healthy me, will feel virtuous that it cost so little and when accompanied by tea and sparkling water with lime will be just what I need.

I know it's naughty to eat so late (it's coming up on 8pm here in the UK) but it'll be lovely.

What a great topic! Healthy, nourishing food as opposed to poison! I need to become more of a cook!
