Day 19
Hey all,
I'm on day 19. Mainly I feel exhausted a lot and sleep on average 12 hours a night. It feels like a phase where my body and mind are re-adjusting. I'm not bothered by all this at all. I just take it easy and enjoy the sleep.
I've had cravings twice in the past couple of days, quite heavily. I just sat back, closed my eyes, relaxed and they subsided after a while.
I've gotten this far, it would have to be in case of emergency for me to want alcohol. That's also how I see the cravings. They're there, I observe them. They'r not part of me, they're just there. And at the same time I just don't want to drink. And that feeling I do see as being part of myself. I see the useful things as being part of myself and the problems as things that just pass by and don't belong to me. That takes away their power.
Today I had a visit with my internist. Tomorrow I have a bunch of tests. He's testing every possible thing, which is very assuring. And in about 2 weeks I have another appointment to discuss the results.
Anyway, just wanted to write an update. Looking forward to another night of wonderful sleep.
