I had gotten to the point where I didn't even get a hangover anymore after 2 bottles of wine. And just a little bit after 3.

But still waking up now that I've been sober for a while is wonderful! It feels so good!

I'd drink until I was passing out - or I'd none left - i hardly ever woke up sober towards the end and only started sobering up properly I'd say around 3pm and I'd start drinking again at about 8/9pm just to get rid of the symptoms and then before I knew it I was always wrecked again and the cycle continued.

I love not having that weighing down on me every day - Im not embarrassed to talk to people incase they smell drink off me. I'm not worried about not wakening up one morning...

....knowing that I don't have to rely on a drink for anything... It scared me when it seemed I was beginning to rely on alcohol to get through a lonely or anxious situation. So, the good part of not drinking is that I gain better self confidence.

There's nothing bad about being sober except we are all accountable now for everything we do and say lol we haven't got the old 'oh I was drunk ' line anymore haha that amused me its probable we won't need that line anymore anyway now we are sober. I'm pretty sure I won't be saying half as many sorrys it's all good

Every single story I used to tell started with "When I was drunk..." And I don't have to hear that ringing in my ears anymore.
