The liver is one big concern but long term heavy drinking can cause other diseases and illnesses.

There is an increased risk of breast cancer in women.

If you smoke there are some nasty oral/head and neck cancers. If you drink and smoke your chances are multiplied.

Its not just your liver that suffers.

This is another reason I quit. The 4 generations before me on one side have all gotten breast cancer.

Yeah those oral and laryngeal cancer are dreadful. And I've always preferred my liquor straight or with a little ice.
