My Thinking Has Failed Me
My Thinking Has Failed Me
Hello, I am brand new to this forum and recently quit drinking. I know changes are needed in my life to a new way of thinking. I thought connecting with others is a great way to keep my mind focused on recovery and at the same time share thoughts and ideas. I try to work on my recovery daily as I find my thoughts are very dangerous if I get away from my reality which is that I am an alcoholic. Does anyone else have ideas on day to day recovery focus. I attend meetings; read; pray; and try to connect with others. Wishing you all the best!
Welcome to SR rowd44!
Sounds like you're on the right track.
Focus on mind AND body.
Special attention to some of the nutrients that long-term alcohol abuse depletes from the body.
Reading SR helps me the most.
Good luck!

Hi rowd, welcome. Your plan sounds good. I find exercise to help alot. Helps with sleep, appetite and general good-feeling. Also walks are great for a change of scenery. Stop and smell the roses. literally. Very best wishes.
