Seems I hit a Brick Wall
Seems I hit a Brick Wall
In my enthusiasm Not sure why; or when but depressed & getting ready for work .. Pain is pretty unbearable tonight and I am coming to the realization I am losing my best friend (my cat) and it is starting to really hurt me My Ex & I had a decent day off yesterday so not sure if she stuck up her walls bhigher b\c she felt it to or what; but seems colder tonight .. Well off to work I go w\ no intention of stopping at the packie tomorrow after work, I Hope. Will try and check in from work ..
Check in often as it will silence the av voice. I have gotten in my car felt the craving to stop for something..came to this site didn't post but read and it made coming straight home much easier.
It's so cruel that our animals only live a fraction of our lifetimes. On the other hand I guess we get to spread our care and love to as many needy friends as we can, but it doesn't make the losses hurt any less. I have an older pet with special needs and I have a lot of anxiety about his old age. Stick to your plans....drinking won't change or fix anything for the better.
Not feeling much better pain wise, actually worse. But my "buddy" just made me smile by bringing me a "gift" & talkun' to me.. So he and I are taking an early bed time since I work tonight as well. So yay day 12 for real this time. :-P Thanx all :-) "Nigh"
Hang in there and I hope you slept well. I always come in when you're heading out. Asynchronous I guess. I realize your pain must be crippling. Do the best you can but don't be afraid of seeking help. Also, trust in that buddy. Those quadrupeds seem to know us better than most humans.
All in all it's just another brick in the wall.

August, I think you'll feel better once you get that moving situation sorted out with your ex. When are you getting out of that living situation? I think you will find once you get your own place your enthusiasm will return and you will move forward.
Ah, don't worry about it. You're doing the right things, you can only do one thing at a time. Getting sober is the main deal. And I know you've been going to work. And making your appointments with the disability folks. You are on the right track, keep doing what you are doing. Another day on the calendar tomorrow, keep checking off those sober days.
