new day 2

Trying this again. I can stay off the booze for a week or sometimes a month then I'm right back where I started taking shots at 7am to go back to sleep. This time I think my liver is inflamed and the boyfriend has had it with me. I need to stay away from it. I want my life back.

Welcome to SR Brit I had 4 years of stopping-starting and then I found this site and it's been going great the past 3 weeks (longest before was 7-10 days)
You really have found a fantastic support network here

I WANT MY LIFE BACK is a great start to getting sober. I/we need to be honest with ourselves regarding our drinking and if we are alcoholics we can NOT drink in safety one day at a time. Reading the posts on this site is a great help with lots of good suggestions as well. After a few days I/we must remember when it got so bad it got us here and our drinking will NOT get better if we continue. BE WELL

Thanks to everyone for the kind words. This detox is not nearly as bad as some I've had in the past. I haven't ate since Tuesday was waiting for my liver pain to subside. That is finally going away so I think I'll try food today. I just want time under my belt and feel the great things sobriety has to offer. Character flaw immediate gratification. Anyways thanks again!
