Where are all the sober people.
Where are all the sober people.
Don't look in the bars or on the street corners.... They're not in the clubs or asleep on a bench. They're not in bed at noon trying to shut out the sunlight.... They're not in the bathroom throwing up their breakfast....
Nope...
They're the dancers, the hang gliders, the readers, the walkers, they're climbing and painting, they're travelling and singing. They're out with the kids making some memories. They're gardeners and painters, they are surfers, they are poets. They're at the end of a phone line when someone's in trouble, they're cooking for friends, they are sewing new clothes.
They are here on these forums, doing the best they can do.
They are the fortunate ones. They are me and they are you.
Nope...

This one is riding her bike every day and working at a job she loves. She's rarely late and when she smiles, she smiles from her heart. When things don't go her way, she gets a little mad but has learned to move on. She has a new, deep and profound sense of relief. She's no longer running to or from anything. She glides through the currents of life. She's free. She's finally free.
Thanks for the post. It's been a long day and i ran over something that blew my tire so i'm having to bus it with my bike, which isn't easy. I needed a reminder of who i am now. Thanks again for such a beautiful post.
