20 weeks found my 1st thread
20 weeks ago today was my last drink. Clearly not a very fond memory of mine but one I need to revisit often when those feelings of detachment from my sobriety. It hasn't all been easy and it took tremendous work but I'm finally starting to settle into a comfortable place.
Sometimes we forget where we were and live in the moment which does serve as a good survival tool. But sometimes we need to look back and realize the mountain we climbed one little step at a time!
Thank you to all my SR buddies this journey would not have been possible without everyone here!

Congratulations on your hard worked for 20 weeks. For me Remember When is very important as our built in forgetter has us in a mode that can make our drinking "not so Bad." Well mine was and any repeat performances will probably be suicidal for me. For years life has been so good compared to drinking I choose remember when and the work involved in staying sober. Good luck.
Congratulations on 20 weeks, InPerfectly! A very inspiring post with a powerful message.
I read your first post and really love your honesty, openness and willingness in it. I also used to drink two bottles of wine at a time just to disappear! Thank goodness we no longer do that and are building new lives for ourselves. I'm 50 days back so it's so inspiring to me to see how far you've come.
