hope this gets posted ,having a bit of trouble finding my way around
thanks to all who welcomed me here,I have being trying to give up drink for years now.this time i am hope to do my best as i just can't live needing to drink every day it hell.i have too teenage children who just don;t want to know ,I have made so many broken promises .I am on my third day today and got home without going to the supermarket,I am a home drinker,I have isolated my self and the guilt and shame makes me feel like drinking more to ease the pain.so thats why i,m here.

And welcome. Your in a good place with good help and advice here. Years ago before the internet I had the help from AA that got me through the trying beginning period. The bottom line is being honest with ourselves and not picking up the first drink, that is what gets us drunk. I suggest reading a lot of threads for ideas and post for support. BE WELL

Congrats Fustina! I have been sober for 11 days now. I have drank almost every day for the last 13 years except when I was pregnant with my 4 year old daughter. I decided to quit because I wanted it, not because other people wanted me too.
