Sick of chocolate!
Well, after 2 weeks, it's happened. I am sick of chocolate. This is probably because I bought two bars to last the weekend and I've eaten them both, but
hope this is a turning point
hope this is a turning point
Can you please throw some of that being sick of chocolate my way? For me it's ice cream. What I do is buy the non fat chocolate. I know, I know, still loaded with sugar. Slowly weaning myself off of these crutches!
I second that..throw some of that my way. I am actually making a chocolate cake tonight. I need it as it helped me last weekend. I don't eat chocolate during the week at all. I do find myself wanting something sweet during the week, but it usually isn't chocolate related and it is manageable. But, the weekends I lose control!
Does it get any better? I see you have been sober a lot longer than me and this obsession with sweets and chocolate on the weekends are beginning to concern me.

After I quit drinking I was eating sweets, ice cream, chocolate, drinking Sierra mist as my new drink of choice. Then my Dr tells me I am borderline diabetic. Argh. Now my drink of choice is coffee with stevia and cream. And chocolate. So I gave up booze and now I'm a carb addict. What's a girl to do.
Ginger that is my fear. I quit drinking to become healthier and now I am jeopardy of becoming a diabetic? I never ate this many sweet before. I have eaten more sweet in about 3 weeks than I have in over 8 years.

Our wellness is often hidden at the end of the cable to us. I'm not proud of the daily reward system for staying "sober", it shows at my waistline as I chose a pint of B&J daily for maintenance. I never claimed to be recovered emotionally or mentality wise. Yes it did catch up to me one day in the ER and needed a stent to continue without B&Js. BE WELL
