So this Friday will mark 21 days of sobriety for me. Go me. I had a visit with my Dr. yesterday and all my labs look good, no liver damage or anything. My cholesterol is in the crapper, total of 268 so I will be going on a plant-based diet and exercise regimen for that. He gave me 3 months to get it down on my own through lifestyle changes or I'll have to go back on a statin (I was on one several years ago but went off when I got pregnant). Other than that I'm feeling well physically. I have a question though, I've been feeling like a total air head today, maybe the past couple of days. Just getting a little mixed up, I thought Tuesday was Wednesday, etc. Also sort of clumsy, knocking things over and stuff. Has anyone else experienced this kind of thing in early sobriety?

Oh, and I've lost 4 pounds since August 9th : ) 36 pounds to go.....

Hi, there! Happy almost 3 week anniversary! It takes awhile for the body to rid itself of these sorts of toxins. I think feeling loopy is normal. I believe it took me a total of about 3 months to feel not-so-loopy.

Congrats! Sounds normal to me. I have a little bit of space cadet-ness going on. Some days are worse than others. It seems to be getting better though.

Great job on your 19 days! I definitely felt odd - like an alien for a month or so. Clumsy & offbeat too. It all got better. We've put our poor bodies through so much - we need chance to heal.
