Help

I'm alone and bored at work again with nothing to do and God's plenty of alcohol just a hallway away. To distract myself, I already ate a giant sandwich, cookies, crackers, cheese and am on my 3rd diet coke and smoked all of my e-cig.

I know I don't want to go grab a beer. I want to leave work sober and run off the 3000 calories I just consumed! I don't want to drink. I don't want to drink. sober. sober. sober.

Then stay sober....get out of self! Talk to someone - call a drunk or an addict. Pray, pray, pray!

Bored and alone is a dangerous place for me to be. Did you try going into the chat room here? Or get a good book to read online.

They let you drink at work? Wondering why beer is a hallway away.

Drink lots of water. Take it minute by minute if you have to. YOU CAN DO IT!

When the situation calls for it, Mirage, yes I can. Which is not a good work environment for me at all. We put together many social things, so alcohol is always on hand.

The trouble is I'm here alone here 50% of the time and I've started out many regretful evenings with a few at work. I've even taken the "perk" of being able to drink at work a little too far.

This helps. I'm happy I posted.

I am looking for new work btw.

Gotcha, I can understand the temptation. Every job I've ever had, drinking was forbidden at work, except rare occasions. Listen to the suggestions. Good luck
