30 days. Sober!
30 days. Sober!
Yes! I have cried, screamed, snapped, criticized... You name it... All in the name of sobriety ... It took a lot of sleepless nights and taming the drunk in me..I have lost all my friends who weren't my friends to begin with in the name of sobriety...
I have also.... Lost weight which I needed, gained my sanity, met new people that really care about my well being .. Gained tranquility in my mind, no more anxiety, stress from drinking, repetitive thinking...obsessing.. No more thirst that was unquenchable.. No swollen feet and legs... No throbbing on my sides... Don't feel lonely as much anymore...
And the big one.... I saved myself the pain of at least 10 hangovers....
So I will take another day of sobriety just for today!

I can't WAIT to be able to say 30days. I've gone 2-3 weeks before, so when I hit 30 days, I'll have outdone myself, for the first time in 4 years. SO determined to do this, this time (for lots of reasons). Bring on 8th Sept x
Awesome,I'm right behind you at35 days and no opiates,it's a good feeling. Your so in the right place and keep coming back. As they say one day at a time ,it's the best way to do it,I keep it an hour at a time sometimes. Those fake friends are just that and you will make new ones that are true blue..again,congrats on your time, keep us posted on your journey😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
Congrats, Silvy! You've gotten through one of the hardest parts. Now just stay with it. You will not regret it. Sobriety is a gift that keeps on giving. Glad you are finding friends and support in AA as well. Keep going!!
