As the title say's, thank you for allowing me to be part of what I feel a very important community. I myself have been sober for quiet sometime. What I am trying to accomplish here on this form is to meet more like minded individuals to share our life's experiences.
To be able to grow and learn together about this disease addiction. How it affects every one involved and to find solutions to help break the cycle of this disease.
I have recently found myself in an relationship with another addict, who I bonded rather quick with. I have lost contact with her and she has hit very low already and I'm concern for her well being and trying to be supportive and also encourage her towards her road to recovery.
Due to my own personal situation financially I could not provide a stable and safe environment for her. She currently is off with this trucker which was a john cursing the country and keeping her isolation and away from her friends.
I use to keep in contact with her family, but since she took off I have not called them for I also share the same worries and pain that they have for her. I don't want to have them worry anymore then they have, for after all she is an adult and the battle is her's and they really can't help.

This place is amazing isn't it? There have been times that the people on here have been the difference between me picking up or not picking up that drink.

I'm sorry for your friend - sometimes there's not a lot we can do but pray they land wherever they land safely.

Dee74, thanks for the support, I have decided to focus in a positive manner towards my friend, I have given it up to the Lord and ask for His wisdom and will just pay it forward.
