Only tea, well some coffee when I was being over the top.

In reality I did not even miss it, strange. I am sure if I drank one beer it would be a struggle to keep the next one away.

But when I am sure I am not going to do – I do in reality not have any cravings for it.

I will not be able to keep this state of mind, there will be struggles I know that, but right now I am just enjoying it.

My struggle now is more that I should be more effective, get more things done. I will do that instead of using my time on the Internet.

Treated myself to a single use blender and whipped up some divine smoothies. Put them in facncy glasses with slices of fruit and an umbrella. Felt like the sassy gal I am, sans tipple in the glass

Happy weekend all !

just about! 5th wedding anniversary and was supposed to be going for a meal at a swanky local restaurant.

all i wanted to do was drink.

so, i talked it through with hubby, shed my resentful tears and stayed in with chinese food.

and today, i am very glad i did.

Sitting on the ftont poarch not hung over. Beautiful crystal clear morning drinking coffee with the dogs so happy that I'm alive and sober. Off to an AA meeting shortly so I get my daily dose of medicine and see some very good friends

Hi Earthsteps. I made it through last night. Feeling pretty proud of myself. Getting ready to go for a jog on this beautiful sober Saturday morning. I have to keep myself super busy to avoid the crappy AV. I need to get through today which should pose some challenges. But I am sober and up for it.

Yep, did it. Just waited until 2 am passed. Felt so much better after I knew I couldn't drink even if I wanted to. Tonight will be a challenge, as well, I'm sure.

Went to a wedding last night and the reception afterwards.....drank 2 diet cokes, had great conversations with everyone, and remembered everything this morning. By far, it was the easiest party I've been to since I got sober. It's true that it DOES get easier!

Stayed sober and spent a lovely Friday with my grown daughter and our dogs. She did not leave until 4 AM, I still haven't been to bed, darn insomnia still has got me. We had a wonderful time at the dog park and then walking the three beasts. We went to dinner and then just sat and laughed and joked. Very excited she is coming back over later today and spending the night. Sunday is her dog's first birthday and we have quite the celebration planned, we are a little dog crazy around here!

Cheers to a sober Saturday and Sunday. When I finish out today it will be three weeks for me.

went to a bar last night and had a couple of NA Beers and no cravings. If I don't want to drink I don't get cravings. I only get a craving when I want to drink.

I absolutely did not drink last night! It was easy peasy. On day 16 and I don't even think about it anymore. I just eat supper, a snack and drink some water. Watch TV, read in bed and fell asleep around 4 a.m. and woke up at 10:30 a.m. feeling great!

Yes, I skipped the booze. We watched Identity Thief, which I thought was going to be better than what it actually was. The morning was great, with my brain firing in all the right ways.
