Drinking tonight

Yes I am one of those who felt I could be normal and drink a beer or two. It worked for a few weeks but there is always that temptation to reward yourself with booze

Since I was a child I had a problem with panic attacks, I discovered alcohol as a fix when I turned 21. Over the last few years it has become a problem. I am now 36

Welcome aboard! I rather drink nothing than one or two. What's the point? I mean I was after the "effect" not the taste.

Panic attacks are a treatable medical condition

Drinking doesn't help

I think your realizing that

If you drink it'll only make it worse

Welcome and good luck. My sobriety has been such a blessing that I choose not to find out if I can drink just one again. Then who knows if I can get sober again? If its not broke, don't fix it. Give sobriety a chance.

Yea I have to say I wouldn't touch it if I only had 1 or 2. Shoot I used to get bummed when I only had a case of beer or a liter of rum.. That was just about enough to irritate me!

If we could drink normally we would not be on Sober Recovery. Once we have admitted to our inner most selves that we will never ever be able to drink like normal people the Healing starts to begin
