Day 10 is actually day 11

So ive made it through to what I thought was day 10 and I realized that im actually on day 11 with no alcohol or cigarettes and like 14 hours from day 12!!! So other than the insomnia and dreams about being wasted at the casino and winning a mega jackpot im on top of it!! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep my mind off of drinking and the nightlife when these dreams occur??? Thanks in advance!

Realizing they're just dreams. Dreams are often reflections of our anxieties.

You ever hear about how people often have dreams where they find themselves naked in public? All I'm saying is... a dream's not always something to act upon.

Congratulations on 11 days Ironman! You are doing a great job.

I don't know how to answer your question, but I do know that things get better in time. You have both my support and encouragement.

Much love,

MV

It's usually a couple of weeks of being sober for me, before my drinking dreams stop. They have been true nightmares. I have found that going back to relearn and becoming involved with hobbies that I enjoyed in pre~alcoholic days have given something to look forward too instead of a drink?
