One More Advantage to Being Sober

So, I just went up to our local convenience store to buy a noodle bowl. Feel like I am back in college, really need a job. Anyways, to get to this particular store you never really leave my neighborhood, never have to go on any major road. As I pulled in I saw the Sheriff was there. This is the optimal time of night I would have been going to get my second bottle of rum. Before I would have kept on driving or completely freaked out. I had no fear this time just walked right in and bought my .89 dinner, LOL.

I love me my noodles! I can only imagine what could have happened had I still been drinking. I have been lucky to escape with never having gotten a DUI. My daughter tells me that I must be the best drunk driver around, lol, and she is a cop. Strange to see cops at all in my neighborhood since we are unincorporated the Sheriff has a lot of area with tons of traffic to cover. It was a great feeling not to be nervous. Good stuff and I just wrapped up day 11.

I'm with you on the insomnia, ironman. Hoping that in the next week or so I can begin to get back on a normal sleep schedule. Congrats on 8 days, it is quite an accomplishment!
