Went AWOL for a while there......
Hi All,
Just a quick update - haven't been around for quite a while.
Have had a tough couple of months - My Dad died at the end of May after a 2year struggle with colon cancer and It has been so hard on my 2 boys who love him dearly. He was also my rock of sense when it came to my AH, his advice was always spot on, so practical and wise.
So, 18 months after separating, I am finally making it official and have set the wheels in motion for a judicial separation ( we have to wait 4 yrs for divorce here )
I am doing well, will be a year in the new house this month and apart from my grief, things are pretty good. Our lives are calm, the drama is gone and we are a lot happier most of the time.
As for AH ....well, he's still drinking and quacking. Doesn't see the boys much at all and still doesn't give me a penny towards their upbringing.
We are the winners here and he is still strangled by his addiction.
Today life is good. Best wishes to all

So sorry for the loss of your Dad.
I'm glad things are moving forward for you--hopefully the courts will be able to get you some financial support.
