Good news and its good timing

Hello SR.
I got a call today about my back situation. Insurance finally approved the procedure. I have been waiting for quite awhile. Many visits to the doctor, many scans, and shots, probed and what not. I am tired of these visits to the doctor.
I had to quit the thing I loved the most, which was to run. I miss my Ipod and the long jogs to wherever. I miss singing while cruising the pavement. I miss the calm feeling and well being that is produced by being out in the world getting strong and healthy. I find I am authentically me when I am out there. My shoes have collected dust. Goodbye Dust!
On the 8th of August, I will be getting the nerve alblation. This also marks 5 months of sobriety. Is this divine or what?
Anyways- I am still moving along. Still focused on the destination. Still building and repairing. Today was a good day-

That's great news, Mizzuno, I am happy for you and pray that all goes well. My daughter is a runner and I know how cranky she gets when she cannot run! Pretty soon you will be tearing up those trails.

Hi Mizzuno that is great news I had a lumbar discsectomy about 5 years ago to relieve bad sciatica where i couldn't tie my own shoe laces and walked with a bad limp with constant pain. I am back running again and take minimal pain relief these days. I wish you all the best of luck

Really pleased for you Mizz. It's a good reminder for us all that when things seem to be stacked up against us, if we just hold on, a better day may be just around the corner xx
