hello Deeker,
thanks for the welcome...I have been trying to stay sober for a while now, and about day 5, 6, or 7 I fall down.
I am tired of the roller coaster. I want to be sober for the rest of my life. It feels good just to say that.
people post that it gets easier to avoid the pitfalls over time, I am hanging onto that for dear life!
be well, trish

to SR and congratulations on day 2. You will find a lot of support here.
I'd suggest you join the Class Of July 2013 which is composed of people who quit at the same time you did, you will get a lot of support from your peers.
I also hope you will join us at the 24 hours club where we commit to stay sober for the next 24 hours. Great way to hold ourselves accountable and Deeker does a fantastic job facilitating the thread http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...t-10-a-26.html

Happy to meet you Trish. I was determined when I joined SR too. It worked - I have 5 & 1/2 yrs. sober & I'm never going back to that horrible life. Congratulations on your 2 days. You can do this!
