Struggling today ! Will i or wont i ? :-/ sigh

Hi , i'm really struggling today , im 3 weeks sober and am having the worst cravings today. My worst day so far. I finished work and stopped out the front of the bottle shop. I waited and fought with myself.I finally mustered up the courage to start my car back up and continue the drive home. First time in 3 weeks i am alone in the house. I have taken myself off to bed as my hubby has just left for his night shift. Danger time ...... Do i go for the quick drive to the shop ...no ...it will end in disaster:-( ...i cant only have ONE drink ...i know that ...i just want tomorrow to be here already .

Snooz I can promise you this that the feeling you get tomorrow will be so empowering versus the 5 minute buzz followed by a WHOLE lot of guilt and regret. You can do this 3 week mark is when it started to hit me you will get stronger and stronger stay close to SR while you are craving its kept me sober nearly 4 months!
Here for you hugs

Hey Snoozy,
3 weeks is great going

Just don't drink for today , when you wake up tomorow then see where you are .

I always found delaying taking a drink for a day or two was a good stratergy that got me through many a tough day . Afterall when i started 20 hours out of 24 i didn't want to drink now it's 24 in 24 .. stick with it ..

Have you read about urge surfing ?

Bestwishes, m

Congratulations on your 3 weeks. By avoiding picking up during this period your self esteem probably rocket to new highs and you should be proud for defeating the shite fairy. GO be well

Congrats on 3 weeks. That is quite and accomplishment!

Minute by minute is okay. Sometimes that is how it happens. Hang in here today and you can get through it.

I can truly say I have only regretted stopping to buy that wine, never driving past the store. I can definitely sympathize with the desire though. Hopefully, we can both resist it.

Congrats on the 3 weeks.

everyday is a new day. be grateful to be alive & sober. if there were no adversity, the accomplishment of success is without meaning. stay strong.

Congrats on 3 weeks and great job on surviving the cravings, SnoozyQ! You did the right thing by going to bed and coming onto SR. My bed is my fortress and SR is my refuge!
