Cute/Funny/Uplifting/etc

I know I could use a smile, laugh, and inspiration today. Anything uplifting, funny, adorable, etc on this thread.

I'll pick a saying from the jar of quotes I made for myself to start:
Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared. - The Buddha

Ok, now funny. I happened upon this on YouTube and laughed so hard. Cat parody:

More funny - dog wants to play fetch:

Thanks Ona. One can never laugh too often. I saw someone say the other day "Laugh until your belly hurts. Then just a bit more."

You said it. If I didn't laugh a lot, I'm sure I'd go insane. Well, more insane.

This is one of my all-time favorites. I've watched it a gazillion times and it never fails to make me smile. If you like it, google the other videos he has done over the past few years. Enjoy!

Lexie, I'm kind of jealous now. I'd love to go to 1/2 of the places he's been to. And the comments below the original video say he got paid to go do 2 more similar ones. Don't know if that's true or not but it makes for a good daydream: getting paid to travel and dance. Not sure any one would want to see my dancing - I'm sure I look like Elaine in Seinfeld (funny category)

Elaine´s Dance - YouTube

I'm not sure if it'll make any one else giggle, but DS currently loves the movie Wreck-It Ralph. One of his favorite scenes is where Ralph jumps to a rough soldier-fighting-aliens game and Sergeant Calhoun is givng her peptalk to the crew. For about a week, when dropping off DS before heading to work I could yell: "It's make your mommas proud time!" and he'd yell back "I love my momma!" lol

He has done several more videos, all of which are now funded. He's a pretty fascinating guy, who just started by doing the goofy dance that came naturally to him. Check out his website, with lots more videos, outtakes, backstory, etc. Where The Hell Is Matt?

These aren't cute or funny but I find them inspirational (and therefore up lifting).Life is harsh, but there is beauty in that harshness..

Something to giggle at: I was talking with my 13 yo nephew the other night and he responded to my statement with "Lull".

Ummmm.... What? To which he replied "Lull".

But what does that mean? "O M G, Auntie TU. 'L' 'O' 'L'. I thought what you said was funny." Eye rolls as he walked into his room.

Our conversations do tend to make me ROFLMAO. I love that kid!

Ok, I have something to giggle at, too.

So, I went out the front door of my house the other day, in the morning after waking up. Keep in mind I live where my husband works, on the grounds.

I walk to the car for something, and back to the house.

It was not until a short time later when I went to use the restroom and pulled down my pajama pants that I noticed....there is a decent sized hole in my pants right down the old butt crack!

Even better? I was not wearing underwear.....sigh! Only a couple of employees were out and about, and I'm not even sure that anyone saw. I'm not sure if that's better or worse than knowing lol

Ok, now for inspirational.

"I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think." ~ Socrates

"One who controls occurring anger as one would a chariot gone off the track, that one I call a charioteer; other people just hold the reins." ~ The Buddha

"It always seems impossible until it's done." ~ Nelson Mandela

"All the world is full of suffering. It is also full of overcoming." ~ Helen Keller

"The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim to high and falling short, but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark." ~ Michelangelo
