11, 23, and awesomness
Hey Sr fam,
A quick update. Day 23 of no wine, day 11 of no smoking (everyone laughed when i said i was giving up) and i feel super great.
I posted last week about having a meeting and asking for a payrise, it got cancelled twice, making me all nervous and twitchy (but didn't need to drink, you know what its like...any excuse) Eventually it went ahead. Since getting sober i have been so much more productive at work, i went to the meeting with plans and could back up all i said, and managed to get an extra 4k a year
Its really going to help us out a lot, and now i dont buy wine may actually have a little saved for the first time in my life. I am like a different person, in a great way.
Im not posting to show off, but to show people in the early days how good it gets if you persevere.
