First day on this site
Just wanted to say hello, names chuck and ive been sober and clean since june 13th, after almost loosing my life , my wife and all my loved ones I had an intervention and found myself in the rooms of AA after a 28 day inpatient , I literally could not bear to live any longer the life I was living, I felt lke a tyrannasourous rex creating carnage everywhere I went, I am addicted to alcohol/heroin/and cocaine/ I currently have a great sponsor and have been out of treatment for a few weeks , I attend 1-2 meetings a day and contact other addicts daily, I had to give up all my old friends and now I feel like a 47 year old baby learning to walk and be a social productive human being. im learning slowly and surely and im loving being clean and sober,

I know about the carnage thing. I was the same way by the time I quit. We're lucky we escaped with our lives. You sound very thankful to be back among the living.
You'll have a whole new life - and you never have to go back to that dark place again.
