Celebrating another day
SR Family,
As I continue to keep focusing on one day at a time, I am celebrating 4 months sobriety today!
I have had my ups and downs even within this past week were I was on a tight-rope to relapse, I am praising my Higher Power in whom I am proud to call God, my Heavenly Father.
I have been greatful to this group, AA meetings, Celebrate Recovery and my Sponsor.
If you are reading this and are still early in your sobriety, keep it up! Victory is yours!!!! You are stronger than any addiction that is in your life.
I thought I was never strong enough, so I kept slipping and giving into "just one" drink when that "one drink" almost costed me everything even my life. Now, I am regaining healthy friendships that I lost forever, becoming a better me, and realizing that my life is worth living.
I am so proud of each and everyone of you!

Congratulations!
I also feel the pressure from people who tell me "Just learn to drink moderately".
Maybe you, like me does not understand the definition of moderate. One sip and I MUST get drunk, right?
No. I don't know the meaning of "taking it easy" or having one drink in a one hour time frame.
Four months is incredible. Thank you for your aspiring message.
