Day 12
Today we went and got a puppy. She is so sweet. It is funny, I always celebrate everything with a drink. Today that did not happen. It was nice to have control, but it was hard to maintain. I really wanted a drink. I don't always get what I want, and I am okay with that. I will do this one day at a time. Sometimes one minute at a time. My new family member is Princess and I love her already.. She is an Australian Cattle Dog. It is good to stay busy and she will help me with that. I still want a drink, so I am here instead of on my own. Thank you all for being here for me.

Congratulations on your new puppy and on not picking up poison to celebrate it!
There is an SR memeber on here whose name I can't remember but he has a very funny signature which says something to the effect that "the wine on the table is no more for me than for the dog under the table"
So maybe you can look at the puppy and think an alcoholic drink is no more for me than it is for this gorgeous little puppy!
