Hello sober world
Hello sober world
Hi there
I'm 37 male
I began binge drinking beers, alone, and it escalated out of control
I'm unemployed, and it has been helping me get through the days of isolation, boredom, anxiety, stress and depression
Or that's what I thought it did
But in the bigger picture, the hangover depression etc. just got worse and worse. To the point where I thought i should die
So now I will take care of myself, and face the music

In computer science, we reference alcoholism as redundancy... A function which calls itself as a subroutine. Mental issues caused by alcohol, and alcohol is used as the solution.

Hello,
I've been in the same boat as you. Drank to help with the lonliness. But, things did get worse until I was drinking everyday.
As the alcoholism progressed, so did the nightmare of the hangovers: fear, anxiety and guilt.
You're certainly not alone. If you stop now, you'll save yourself a lot of misery.
Best to you.

Welcome. "But in the bigger picture, the hangover depression etc. just got worse and worse. To the point where I thought i should die"
This point of our lives can be a good for us "remember when" as it never has to happen again if we DON'T pick up that first drink as we won't have to get sober again. Accomplishing that, probably the above will become a memory of our mistreating our mind and body. BE WELL
