How can I help my best friend
I'm scared I'm going to lose my best friend, she is an alcoholic, this is only just out there really, I have suspected for a while but now she ad said it out loud and has asked for support and help. The thing is I feel helpless.
I was going to organise some alcohol free activities to do together and with other friends, spa days, afternoon tea party's, cinema etc.... Stuff like that that means she is still engaged with her friends but not forced to be in a drink filled environment like pubs and meals out.
I will be there for her and support her but just wanted ideas and advice fom people further along this journey than me
Thanks

Being there and offering support are the best thing you can do. Following through on actually quitting drinking and seeking support are solely the responsibility of your friend.
If she has decided to physically quit and attend some type of rehab/detox or attend AA or other local support meetings, you could certainly offer help as far as rides, etc.

It's very kind that you want to support her in her efforts to stay sober. But ultimately it's up to her. Just let her know you're in her corner and will support her on her journey.
