I'm so totally depressed I relapsed again

In sober living. I just want to get my life back. I was doing so well too. Should I try naltrexone? I here that its good for cravings. I'm so tired of this.

Hi JBird. Sorry you relapsed. I'm not very familiar with your story so can't comment further on trying the med's (nor am I familiar with the med).

You want your sober life back? How long was the relapse? What happened?

You really need to discuss that with your Dr jbird.
No medication is suitable for everyone.

If anxiety and depression are the main issues here, it makes good sense to involve a Dr anyway I think?

It's prescription so you'd need to talk to a doctor anyway.

Sorry to hear you fell off the wagon. It is frustrating, I know. Can try again though, maybe practice makes perfect, eh?

Good luck

So sorry JBird100. I know its hard to hear but you need to get up dust yourself off and move forward. Take your recent relapse as a lesson learnt. You can do this

You drank: Rather common behavior for an alcoholic.

You're here posting about wanting to get better: Rather common behavior for someone on their way to permanent sobriety.

Dust off. Learn. Succeed. You can do this.

Think of it like this:
Use the relapse to remind you of how you don't want to feel.
Start again & put it behind you.
Good for you for wanting to be sober.
