Wonderful weekend- keeping occupied

The weekends are getting easier for me now that i am getting used to doing them sober. This will be my 14th weekend of Sobriety and i thought i would post this so those of you that are earlier on in recovery and struggling to deal with the weekends can see that it definitely gets easier to cope. In fact i now cant wait for the weekends to come around.
I have become that much more productive around the house finishing lots of things that i put off while i was drinking. Also i can now drive so going out and doing things is no longer an issue. My fitness has improved and running and gym sessions are now a daily part of my life and that seems to make me feel so much better within. I also get up earlier so i have longer days to enjoy.
What things have you found that help pass the weekends sober and how has it improved your lifestyle?
Sending good vibes to everyone for a great weekend

I did the same thing when I stopped. Got enough done around my place that my landlord dropped my rent $50 per month! Much easier to keep clean too when you don't have last night "mystery stew" still on the stove , and all pots and pane scattered throughout the house.

I agree Pedro. I enjoy getting much more done on the weekends. I already have my projects lined up for this weekend:-). Staying sober and enjoying my home and my family!

Have a great weekend too!

Congratulations on more than a quarter-year of sobriety

Definitely with you on the getting stuff done around the house, and especially on the running and working out. It's just a lot easier to train when you're not trying to balance your training time against your drinking time feels a lot better too

That sounds great Pedro. I'm so glad you're really beginning to enjoy being sober. I'm sure it'll be inspiring for newcomers to read. We tell them it'll get better, and you're living proof.
