Well, I posted yesterday how I struggled with anxiety as my vacation was ending. I came dangerously close to drinking....in fact, I actually left the hotel while hubby and daughter were swimming, and bought myself a pint of brandy and stashed it in my purse to drink after they were asleep.

Thankfully, I decided that I really didn't want to toss my hard work down the drain, so the pint sat in my purse unopened all night, and I threw it out today.

Total waste of 6.95, but I couldn't be happier to toss that money down the drain right along with the booze!

You folks helped me out too, as I spent quite a bit of time reading here last night instead of cracking that seal, so THANK YOU!!!

You can't put a price on your continued sobriety. However, that was a close call. Do you have a sponsor to call if another situation like this pops up?

Yes it was a close call, and it's time to stop putting off going to meetings. I am going to my first meeting this weekend.

Phew! Close call! Next time come to SR and post before you go but the bottle maybe yea? But glad you didn't drink. Hat is off to you.
