Day 6....almost there!

Hi All,
Its day six for me today, i can't wait to reach my first week sober Tonight was a challenge for me, not in a difficult way though if that makes sense. My husband is out for the evening(he doesn't really drink) and my oldest daughter is staying at her boyfriends. Usually i would have put the little ones to bed at eight and cracked open a bottle of wine and probably a second and sat alone enjoying the quiet house. I have money in my purse too which would enable me to do just that. But tonight is very different from all the other nights i have had the house to myself. I had a nice dinner with the kids, and after giving them a bath and putting them to bed i sat in my garden with a nice cup of tea! And it felt great. Looking forward to one week off the wine tomorrow.

I look better, my house is order and i dont have mountains of ironing and laundry to do. My relationship with my hubby is so much better and we seem to be getting closer each day. I am laughing again. I have discovered a love of herbal tea. I sleep like a baby and wake feeling refreshed. I know there may be difficult days but these past six days have been great and the craving for wine almost zero.

Coming on here and reading and posting has made a huge difference. SR rocks

Thanks erratic, things are pretty good, better than i had ever imagined they would be.
Life is most definitely for living, not for drinking!
