Yay Me!!!

Feeling very pleased with myself. Mother in laws visit ended today and despite acting like a bit of an idiot on the 1st day I managed to maintain positive/neutral conversations, took myself out of any situations which were turning sticky and generally detached myself from her and my husband but not in a nasty way.
I had to make an emergency al anon phone call for support on the 1st night and had my nose firmly in my courage to change book at every opportunity to keep myself on track but it worked!!

Good for you! Fine work keeping yourself out of any sticky wickets!
(always wanted to say that, thanks for the opportunity )
Emergency Alanon and courage to change, it sounds like you know exactly what to do
when things start to go sour.
